Windows Genuine Annoyance Redux

Some time last year Microsoft pushed out an update to Windows XP to ensure that all of us silly customer types were running genuine copies of Windows XP. I wrote about it last year here: Windows Genuine Annoyance.

Looks like Microsoft is not quite done pissing off its customers as it has, again, pushed out yet another install of "Windows Genuine Advantage Notification" (KB05474).

From past experience, this will install, demand a reboot, and after a few days I will be told that I must install "Windows Genuine Advantage Notification" (KB05474) again.

Microsoft, here's a Windows Customer Genuine Message: stop with this bullshit waste of my time or I will cease using Windows entirely.

I've added a vent about Microsoft Windows Genuine Advantage at ventbox.
